In President Hinckley's book Way to Be, he says that we all need to find quiet time to ponder and think. He says that we should spend time thinking about the man or woman that we want to become. That is something that I have been thinking about lately. What do I really want to become in life? Not what others want me to do, not what I have been told to do, but what do I really want to become?
I want to live a life of service, looking for those in need and those that are struggling with real challenges in life.
I want to become a father; I want to get married and have a family.
I want to spend time in my life pondering and reading the word of God, and other good books.
If people were to describe me in one word, I would hope they would say I was Kind.
I want to develop true Charity in my life.
I want to create and enjoy good music.
I want to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those around me and not be afraid to stand up for what I know is true.
I want to attend the temple often and have the Spirit actively guiding me in my life.
I want to learn to better recognize and receive personal revelation.
I want to have a successful career where I am able to interact with many people, and make a difference in their lives. I want to provide for my family.
I want to keep in contact with friends.
I want to spend time in the outdoors and enjoy the beauty of the earth that the Lord has created for us.
I want to stay close to my family, create memories with them, and make sure they know that I love them.
I want to be a true friend.
I want to keep my life clean of the things of the world.
I want to keep the commandments and assist others in finding their way back to Heavenly Father.

WE WILL NEVER WALK ALONE - JEFFREY R. HOLLAND
“Brothers and sisters, one of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path—the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel. Trumpeted from the summit of Calvary is the truth that we will never be left alone nor unaided, even if sometimes we may feel that we are. Truly the Redeemer of us all said, ‘I will not leave you comfortless. [My Father and] I will come to you [and abide with you].’ ”

PNEUMONIA
There is something about having pneumonia and the flu with six inches of snow outside in the middle of April that makes me want to start a blog. It just seems like this should have happened in a month more like January or February, but definitely not April. Actually, I have been wanting to start a blog for a while, and today just seems like a good day to do it. I went to the Dr. yesterday and she gave me an antibiotic and some prescription cough medicine. I have been sick since last Friday. Today is a reading day and I've been studying for my finals. They actually won't be that bad this year. I got off easy with a couple of my classes. The hard ones will be O-Chem and Genetics. I can't believe that this semester is almost over. I am planning on going home when finals are over before I come back and start studying for the DAT. I will miss my ward and living here at Elms. It has been a great place for me to live.
Well this is my first blog entry. We will see how this goes....
